The history of gay civil rights has yet to be explored so extensively. The Pride documentary chronicles the history of the gay right movement in New York City beginning with the Stonewall Rebellion of 1969, when gay men and women fought for their acceptance against hate crimes and police brutality. 77 Films, Inc. interviews the Stonewall Veterans who were at the historical rebellion and discuss their thoughts and feelings on how gay pride and civil rights have evolved over the last thirty years. The annual Gay Pride March is the backdrop for the piece.
