If there were ever a place to be considered “gay utopia” it would definitely be Manhattan’s Westside neighborhood Chelsea. This newly upscale community, used to be rather seedy until gay males moved in and cleaned up. Now it is the home of some of the wealthiest and most successful gay men in the country.  The “Chelsea Boys” portrayed in the documentary are professionals with nice homes and disposable income. They work hard and play even harder, gravitating towards the house and trance music scene and after hours nightlife. 77 Films depicts the diversity of the Chelsea scene.
